Supporting Our Community: Join the ‘Wishing for Wheels’ Campaign
At Albert County Chamber of Commerce we are committed to advocating for local businesses and fostering strong community connections. As dedicated community leaders, our goal is to help our region grow and thrive. Today, we’re reaching out on behalf of one of our valued community partners in Albert County who needs your support.
The Albert Career Development Centre is a non-profit organization serving individuals aged 19-64 in Fundy Albert. The Centre provides essential training and support programs tailored to individuals with special needs, focusing on community integration, social activities, vocational development, recreation, advocacy, peer support, education, and mutual aid.
The Need: Accessible Transportation
Many of the Centre’s members face significant transportation barriers, preventing them from accessing these vital programs. To address this, they have launched the ‘Wishing for Wheels’ campaign—an initiative to raise funds for a much-needed specialized van. This van will ensure that no one is excluded from life-changing opportunities due to lack of transportation.
How You Can Help
The ‘Wishing for Wheels’ campaign is a major undertaking, and we are calling on our community to help make it a reality. Throughout 2025, the Centre will be hosting a variety of fundraising events, and we would greatly appreciate your support. We kindly ask you or your company to consider donating an item, gift card, or experience to be used in our fundraising efforts. Your generosity will play a direct role in transforming lives by providing access to essential programs and services.
